All well in his world

Corazon’s attention was briefly caught by whinnies from his band members over the edge of the hill while they grazed near Spring Creek canyon.

That was the moment I caught him in the late light. Best kind of capture. πŸ™‚

So beautiful, TJ. Stunning late light and Corazon caught in its ethereal reflection. All IS well. This is such a peaceful, inspiring scene.

Oh my gosh! I DO! I totally tell them that. I tell them all the time how much *I* love them, and I also tell them that I wish they could know how much they are loved by humans they have no concept of understanding. *Insert happy-crying emoji here* πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Thank you so much for this comment. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I met a horse last week. the most beautiful horse I’ve seen in my life. And huge — not a draft horse, but maybe a thoroughbred. I didn’t have a chance to ask the man who was riding him. The horse lowered his nose to my head. I’m 4’11”. He snuffled. He knew EVERYTHING I was thinking/feeling at that moment. All of it. Then the cowboy (old guy, bibbed overalls, white t-shirt) said the most profound thing I’ve heard in a long time. “Gotta’ go. Too many flies.” I thanked him for stopping so I could meet the horse. Off they went. I’ve never seen anyone ride like that man did. And that horse? He KNEW I was astonished by him and loved him. I seriously seriously think horses know everything and wild horses probably especially. 😍

Love everything about that meeting. πŸ™‚ I’m quite sure that horses/mustangs/animals/wild animals know everything, and I wish I could know even part of what they know. πŸ™‚

I’m with you there. That big horse? “Oh, it’s you, Martha. Hello!” I loved that man, too, who put his horse before a conversation with me even though he’d ridden over for a chat. I half feel like having “Gotta’ go. Too many flies” tattooed on my arm.

Ha – I have totally been known to say those exact words – and also substitute “gnats” – while on and off a horse. πŸ™‚ Glad the man didn’t want to subject his big horse to the flies longer than he had to … and I hope you get to visit with them again!

I’m pretty sure I will. I got to talk to him (and another horse) this past spring. I knew he was my kind of human because he introduced his horse, not himself, and I introduced my dog, not myself. People need to have values. 🀣 This past time, I thanked him for stopping and said, “There’s nothing I’d rather see than a horse.” He just nodded, like, “Of course.”
